The hymen can be reconstructed so that even a doctor, on close examination, will not be able to tell it had previously been disrupted

There is religious and cultural importance placed on the intact Hymen in parts of the world. It is possible, using a procedure called a hymenoplasty, to make a patient appear virginal. This procedure is best performed in those who have never been pregnant, but can be completed on women who have had normal, uncomplicated and natural deliveries.

 

The Procedure

Under the combination of intramuscular injections for pain and local anaesthetic you will feel no distress. The skilled surgeon will use the natural remnant of the Hymen or, if required, will reconstruct tissue from the vaginal walls so that there is a barrier of skin with a blood supply that will effectively be a "new" hymen. Once healed the result will be undetectable to inspection and will give the sensation to both partners, including bleeding, at the initial intercourse.
