Will it hurt?

You will be given strong medication for pain relief before the procedure. You do not have the discomfort of a General Anaesthetic or Sedation. The only thing you may remember is a small needle for the local anesthetic. Most women relate that they were able to easily control any discomfort with simple pain reflief tablets.

Will I be off work long?

Most people take 3-7 days off but our experience is that employment that involves "sitting down" can be restarted quite soon.

Do I have to have photos taken?

Yes, this is for your protection and to assess the outcome. We believe that you will be satisfied and we take an extensive photgraphic assessment so you can see all the results. But you can't be identified in any photo and your privacy is protected vigorously.

Will any one be able to tell that I have had the procedure?

If you have a labiaplasty and someone has seen you before, they definitely will see a major positive change, as you will appear "smaller" but you will both "feel" the difference. If someone has never seen you before, your private areas will appear very normal and there will not be a visible scar in most cases.

When can I have sex again?

You must refrain from sex for 6 weeks. However. this does not mean you cannot be intimate, it just means there should be no penetration for the first 6 weeks. Please remember that with Vaginoplasty you will have to do your exercises before you allow penetration and the 6 week rule is golden!

Will I feel the same during sex?

Most woman say, "no, it feels better." After a vaginaplasty, it will often be like your first time, so have your partner be gentle and take your time to enjoy the "new" feeling.
